The Garden Party was first published in 1922. It was written by Katherine Mansfield and based on her experiences growing up in affluent Thorndon, Wellington.

This adaptation was created 100 years later by Cassandra Tse, in not-quite-so-affluent Berhampore, Wellington. Almost all the text (barring Kitty Maitland's side of the telephone conversation and some formatting/punctuation choices) is Mansfield's original. The entire short story is included in full in this interactive version, though it may take you a couple of play-throughs to see all of it.

The adaptation was created with Twine 2, using the Harlowe interpreter.
